Anybody else scratch building tonight?

I figured out what was going on with my Ender3 Pro and, hopefully will have a good print of Dan's Radial XL for my Simple Scout XL tonight.

I know nothing!
Found a video of the balsa plane that my plans were based on. Hopefully mine goes as well LOL! The wife says Probably not:ROFLMAO:

Well. It's um... not that bad? Right. Anyway, darn it flew really stupid well! You could tell he was taking care not to do anything fun, but as soon as he gave it some aileron and just a little bit of elevator in a turn, it was off on a tangent! Aileron authority was instantaneous and just a bit of the elevator in the turn and around it went. Wow, what a nice flying plane. I mean that plane simply does not act as stupid as it looks.

I think you might have a tiger by the tail, with that bird! It just gets better and better!

Putting some colour on this little insulation-foam racer. Plain white against a cloudy sky for the maiden was stretching the eyesight a bit! Packing tape for colour. Wingspan on this is 650mm and it’s flying with an 850mAh 3s off an 1806 motor. One day build and already fun to fly!

Just finished another scratch build last night, the Bloody Baron. Although it still needs a battery strap, the receiver needs securing in place and a paint job to fully complete the job.
I am also in the process of finishing a second power pod with an Emax GT2218 1100kv motor, that should be fun.

I have 3 days off work now so should get it finished and flying later in the week. I haven't built many foamboards this year Dusty was my last build, and I've only flown once.
Although I did finally assemble the HK Hummer and recently maidened that.

After building two mini scouts and both of them being shit, I built a mini F22. For the first 10 seconds it flew fantastic, then the LemonRX receiver cut out and the plane became a lawn dart. I tested the receiver on my desk and it cut out multiple times, shoulda tested it beforehand. I have an order for a spektrum AR620 and will hopefully get a refund for the LemonRX.

Nice looking build. I love the Bloody Baron. I hand Launch mine with my right hand. 3/4 throttle with ever so slight right rudder pressure. Don’t be afraid to commit to throwing it. It flys away beautifully. Good luck on the maiden and enjoy.

Heres the bare bones version of my 60% Phil Kraft Kwik Fly III. I wanted to try some new techniques including converting balsa plans to foam, building a hot wire cutter and making a fully symmetrical wing and using laminating film to cover the plane. I also wanted it to be pretty zippy on a 2836 1200kv motor (which I have too many of). I liked the little stick but wanted a low wing plane that was a little smaller (if you turn the little stick fuselage upside down its very similar to this plane). This has a 36 inch wingspan. While deceptively simple (it is) it took me a while to figure all that stuff out. I still need to add some ailerons and install the electronics. If I like this one I might build a bigger one with a 3536 1100kv motor. More on this plane here:

Just starting a Simple Beech Staggerwing (https://forum.flitetest.com/index.php?resources/simple-staggerwing.346/). So far an easy build and it combines the traditional foam board along with 3d printed components which the designer has incuded. (https://forum.flitetest.com/index.php?threads/simple-staggerwing-3d-printed-parts.70581/). Just saw the new FT B25 and found a smaller version from FT on 2018. (https://www.flitetest.com/articles/ft-style-mighty-mini-b25-mitchell-build) Looks like a busy winter coming up.

Finally finished painting my latest project, due to the colour scheme it needed a name change. Still needs the clear varnish coat, that's a job for tomorrow.
I now have both power pods to play with the B (Emax CF2822 1200kv) and C pack (Emax GT2218-09 1100kv) should be fun.

While I was off work, I also managed to finish off a few minor jobs on the Mk 2 Bushwacker so that's also ready for a maiden.

McDonald Douglas M-265. Think it would make a good radical flyer? Pre vectored-thrust concept. I'm not a good pilot, but imagine the variety of maneuvers that could be done by switching the yaw controls from in-phase to out-of-phase, spinning on a dime or crabbing sideways. And with those fully articulated wingtips, imagine the roll spin rate!

Beautiful, nice paint job. Enjoy the maiden.

The Bushwacker Mk2 is now ready for its second maiden.
It felt a bit under powered on the first flight. I thought initially it was a motor issue and was planning to swap it for something meatier,
but it eventually discovered I had fitted an 11x5.5 prop by mistake. It should have had a 12x6 prop, so after building a second power pod and getting halfway through a motor swap. I realised the problem and reverted back to the original motor with the correct prop on.

Kept it to a similar colour scheme used on the Mk1 version, with a few minor differences. It's still one of my favorite FT planes to fly.

I like the scheme! Is this one headed for Combat Wars?

Simple Beech Staggerwing early construction, rough. Going for the "gangsta" look.
