I have a large profile 3d plane planned, it has a 60 inch wingspan. I will be doing double layer foam and a lotta struts :ROFLMAO:
Cool! I'm doing a similar build. 63" Crack Yak copy with 1/2" blue foam. It'll have a symmetric KF-ish wing. Carbon spar/inserts.
Also finishing another 31" Adam's Readi-Board Crack Yak w/carbon. They're too much fun to have only one!

Where do you get that 1/2" foam?

Finally had a day with weather decent enough to maiden the Midi Mambo. It's been ready for over two weeks, but I don't like doing maiden flights on windy days.
She took of just fine, needing only a few clicks of rudder. Loops are good, rolls are (naturally) barrel-ly. My wife took the launch video, then took the sticks for a few laps around the field.
360 in. sq. wing, weight 26oz., Turnigy 1100 Kv motor on a 3S1500 pack, 8X4 APC prop. I'm in the process of writing up a build article and will submit a package to the Outerzone shortly.

When the thrust was set to the left aileron, the servo stopped working.I had to open the wing and remove the servo. It turned out that the entire batch of MG90S servomachines was a fake with plastic gears. Bought on aliexpress by my friend, he gave me 3 pieces (bought 10).The MG90S would have been the cause of the model's collapse.I was lucky.....before the flight.

Ah, that’s too bad. At least you caught it before you flew it!
