What is your all up weight? If you scroll back a page. I had a picture of my retract setup. Maybe that can help.

What is your all up weight?
I didn't write it down, it's kind of heavy. Using 2 x 3546 1000kv and 60A esc and 4s 2300mah.
My plane weighted in at 2250g empty. And probably another 300g for the battery. Just about a 1:1 thrust to weight ratio.Spent the day working on the retracts.

My wing weight 1550g and fuselage weight 700g.So far the wing is (before paint) 1656g, no idea what the fuselage weighs right now.
Rounding the bend in this long project and see light at the end of the tunnel. Yesterday I cut out the wing hatch and today assembled the bomb bay doors. So cool!My wing weight 1550g and fuselage weight 700g.
Awesome, won't be long now to maiden.Rounding the bend in this long project and see light at the end of the tunnel. Yesterday I cut out the wing hatch and today assembled the bomb bay doors. So cool!

Beautiful build! What motors did you go for?Slowly pressing forward. Yesterday I ordered new motors and escs that will fly this with authority.
Banggood: Flash Hobbies 3548 900kv with 80A ESC's. I should get around 8-9 lbs thrust. The plane will weigh somewhere around there I think.Beautiful build! What motors did you go for?
Awesome! I can't wait to get to this build. I'll need to clear a little room in the shop first though!Banggood: Flash Hobbies 3548 900kv with 80A ESC's. I should get around 8-9 lbs thrust. The plane will weigh somewhere around there I think.
I've got 11x5.5 APC props but will try 12x6 APC's also.
I have a pare of 3542's 1000kv, one of which is in my Spitfire. I did a thrust test using a digital fish scale. I was shocked at the reading of 4.5 lbs on a 11x7 APC and 4S LiPo. Was going to pull it out for the 25 but I can hardly see the RX which is buried deep inside. That one still needs to be maidened... RR Griffin!Awesome! I can't wait to get to this build. @jahatton or @speedy7385 do you have a link to the retracts you used?
Thanks! I assume they come as a single unit, not pairs, right? And did you use the same one for the nose as well? These are the one I used from Banggood.
