Hi all, excited to get my Aura 5 Lite in my new Durafly Goblin.
Watching the videos on Testflite's site thay mentioned setting up Switch C to switch between no assist in flight, 3 axis and 6 axis.
Is this necessary if all I want is launch assist?
Thanks.

Technically no, but I have found it to be a useful feature. If you don't assign a switch to that channel, make sure the board is configured to the assist level you want. Unassigned channels often default to the mid-point so you may end up with some level of assist.

Semmy; Yes, you should set up the Flight Modes. Launch Assist is a valuable launch helper. Oops not a wing! I've seen many toss crashes on launch. I have found safe mode is a plane saver for planes that are faster than my reflexes. One suggestion is to set up the Flight Modes in a different order. By default Safe Mode is the middle switch position. I set Safe Mode to the lowest position. 3 axis in middle, and unlimited in upper. That way i can smash it down and be instantly in safe mode.

Be sure to save the Aura config to a computer using the Config tool. I create a folder for each plane and insert the date in the config file name. That way if I mess up a config I can always back out of the changes.

A couple of hints. Launch Assist does NOT control rudder. If the plane is not trimmed the rudder can still make it turn. Sometimes the Esc will not arm. Don't know why that happens, I suspect Throttle Cut is to blame.
Launch Assist will not engage if the trims are not centered. So make sure you center the trims. You can change the trims in flight for EACH mode, Land, and without powering down, take out the trim settings, then center the trims. There is a FT Video on how to do that. There is also a video on how to use the config tool.
