Was flying the BBB out at a local park, engine cut out with a squeal, so i had to make an emergency landing and caught a parking block. Luclikly..it's balsa. Picture shows where I've already removed some of the damaged bits getting ready to repair the fuse. The damage was actually more minor than the crash looked, wings came apart and the front fuse took a good impact on the parking block.

So i guess the next question is why did it stop running?..It might be overpropped, running a 9x6 prop at wot goes over amp on the motor by 1 amp, i was running about 3/4 throttle at the time, and seldom run the motor at wot. The esc is a multistar 30 amp. I guess when I get it put back together I will try and take the prop back down to a 9x5..see how many amps that pulls, and then see what happens.

It'd be worth it to do a post-mortem on the motor to see what failed. Bearing locked up? Windings burned out?

What motor was it? If it was a budget motor, its current rating might have been "optimistic".
