i was just wondering if all of this is compatible/will work? i am not looking to spend a lot of money just something super cheap that will kind of stay in the air(with practice). any help on anything that doesn't work together would be greatly appreciated.

i would reccomend https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking...th_6050MPU_And_Atmel_644PA_US_Warehouse_.html its much easier to setup and fly and may fly out of the box for you. But otherwise yes all will function together i think you have much better luck with the kk 2.1 style fc with a screen i tried the kk version of a similar board you listed and had nothing but trouble with it. Hope this helps. Also order a usbasp programmer for the kk board as the new firmware is a little more stable in the air imho. https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking...ce_for_ATMEL_proccessors.html?strSearch=usbas that should be the correct one.

thanks a bunch

thanks for the advice. i had the same post up on a couple other forums for a few days no luck lol. i was going to go with the kk2 but im on an extreme budget lol so i chose this for the sheer price point.

at 9$ more i spring the extra couple of buck for the better board i know how frustrating the old style kk board was when i was trying to get started with it, had i not upgraded i may have never made it past the first crash. I promise you wont regret the 2.1 board as it is one of the best selling cheap flight controllers on the market and its very easy to use with very easy to change settings and a huge amount of info to help you get it tuned perfectly. It also has a stability mode to help you learn to hover much easier when first beginning and it will boost your stick confidence and allow you to get that needed stick time much easier.

Should all fit together just fine, I +1 the KK2 post as well, will save you major headaches.

IMPORTANT! you need to make sure you get the USB cable with that Radio, I had to reverse a few channels on mine...
I think there 4ch version dose not require a PC to reverse the channels if you don't want to deal with it...

You wont be dissapointed that you did i promise you that i still have 2 of them i run one on my basher dji450 clone and i have a back up one that ive been considering a scratch build tri copter with some parts from flite test to compliment it. Its a great control board enough to get you started and many people like to fly them all the time depends on your needs but probably the best beginner flight controller out there that doesnt break the bank or take an obscene amount of tinkering.

I would go cheaper on the frame with something like a homemade Anycopter/handycopter design from cheap wood rather than go cheap on the controller. If you're just getting started having a nice frame just means more expensive repairs. A few 1/2" wood dowels ($1.30 each) and a bit of 1/8" ply or plexi (just a few bucks) will give a nice serviceable frame that's dirt cheap to build and repair.

If you really want to save some money on the FC then I'd go with a Flip - but the KK will be a bit easier to get started with as a first timer. Personally I don't care for the onboard LCD/buttons or the way the KK flys. But that's just personal preference it's a good board. IMHO the flip is a superior board at a lower price - if you're ok with using a phone or notebook to tune and don't mind using arduino to reflash when you make major changes.

I'm also a little wary of the Multistar motors. HK motors in general aren't known for quality, and having the prop mount built into the bell like that means if you manage to bend one - the whole motor is trash. For the same price you should be able to find 2212 900kv Angel motors that will be smoother and a bit more reliable: http://www.amazon.com/NEEWER®-Angel...d=1412009363&sr=8-8&keywords=2212+angel+motor

I like the BlueSeries ESC's...but if you're on a super tight budget you may want to go with the F20's instead, they're a bit cheaper but should still be able to handle those motors. Even the blue's the 20A version should be ok and should save you a buck or two each. Either way you'll want to flash them to be sure to get a usbasp as well. Blue's or F20's will work...but they'll work SO MUCH better with simonk it's not even funny. So if you're not going to pay a bit more upfront for simonk ESC's it's WELL worth it to pay the extra $8 or so for a USBASP. That will also make it possible to reflash your FC - and if you're going with a KK you're going to want to reflash it ASAP since the stock firmware from HK has issues.

+1 scratch built frame if you've got access to the tools or an any copter kit. And +1 simonk escs it's much smoother and more responsive than a stock esc and I haven't had any problems problems with those same motors motors on one of my quads but he's right about the attached adapter I got them very cheap from a friend so no loss loss to me but a better motor can be found for roughly the same price.

thanks for pointing out the having to flash the esc's

all this information has been amazing thank you all. i was going to ask about flashing the esc's and fc, then i got on and the question was already answered. i have already purchased the frame(more as a guide/template if you will to cut new peices out of plexyglass).
