Beginner, Vorstellung und Frage

Guten Tag an Alle,

ich bin begeistert von FliteTest. Habe vor kurzem diese Seite und die Videos auf Youtube entdeckt. Ich liebe historische Flugzeuge und träume schon ewig von einem RC-Flugzeug. Der Geld-, Zeit- und Arbeitsaufwand hat mich bislang jedoch immer abgeschreckt. Die Jungs von FliteTest haben mir mit Ihren Videos jede „Angst“ vor dem Thema genommen. Ich sitze mit einem Grinsen vor dem Rechner, wenn ich mir den Content hier ansehe. Kompliment an die Crew von FliteTest!

Ich bin Familienvater und habe immer wenig Zeit und Geld ;-). Ich will mich auf FoamBoard Flugzeuge beschränken. Genau gesagt will ich später mal die Fokker Dr.1 und die S.E.5 bauen. 3-Kanal mehr brauch ich nicht und zu mehr wird die Zeit auch wohl nicht genügen ;-). Wenn mir das gelingt wäre es schon klasse!

Beginnen will ich mit dem FT-Flyer. Mit dem Material und den Werkzeugen kenne ich mich gut aus, das sollte kein Problem sein.

Jetzt habe ich eine Frage an die Community:
Das einzige was mich noch aufhält ist der Kauf einer RC-Fernsteuerung. Diese sind mitunter ziemlich teuer. Wie gesagt 3-Kanal FoamBoard Flugzeuge mehr wird es nicht werden...
Hat jemand einen Rat für mich? Ich will nicht unbedingt die billigste Variante, aber für mich muss es nicht das größte schnellste Beste sein. Ich fahre in meiner Freizeit auch mal Mofa ;-).

I want to start with the FT-Flyer. I know all about the material and the tools, that should not be a problem.
Now I have a question for the community:
The only thing stopping me is the purchase of a RC remote control. These are sometimes quite expensive. As I said 3-channel FoamBoard aircraft more will not be ... (which i can buy in germany)
Does anyone have advice for me? I do not necessarily want the cheapest option, but for me it does not have to be the biggest fastest thing. I also ride a moped in my free time ;-).

There are some restrictions on which RC equipment you can use in Germany, so be careful. I don't understand it all myself, but I think you need EU LBT protocols, whatever that means.

You don't need anything expensive for the Flitetest planes. Any 4-channel or more transmitter should be OK. Ideally, you want one with dual rate switches so you can reduce the response when you're learning to fly. You also need switches or software that reverses the servos.

There are a lot of different brands, and each uses its own protocols, which means that you have to use transmitters and receivers that match. That's no problem, but it can have some cost implications.

I buy my motors as a set with propeller and ESC from Ebay or Aliexpress. They're for quadcopters, but they work very well on fixed wing aircraft. I get the complete set for around 9 Euros. That's the larger motor for planes like the Simple Scout.

Thank you for your prompt reply! I'll take a look around. The topic is not uncomplicated for me ;-). In Germany you also like to complicate things as they should be. I will report if I came further. Is the flyer actually easier to fly with a small engine with less power?

That's a very good question. I would say that more power is better. As a general rule, larger planes are easier to fly because they respond more slowly and they're easier to see, but they are more expensive to build and get much more damage when they crash. Considering all things, I would say that any of the Flitetest planes with a high wing would make excellent starter planes. You should use a motor similar to what they recommend.

If you want to save some money, these motors work very well with planes with a wingspan from .75 to 1 meter. You can find them on Ebay, Amazon, Aliexpress, bangood and all the other similar online international shops. Search for 2212 motor and then look at the pictures until you see one the same as the one below.

ich habe mich mal online umgeschaut und habe mir folgenden "Sender" auserkoren. Spektrum DXe, für anfänger. Meint Ihr der passt für mein oben beschriebenes Vorhaben?

Spektrum DXe is a good transmitter for starters. Spektrum receivers are relatively expensive, but you can use any other receiver that's compatible with DSMX. Maybe someone will recommend one.

Hallo Fritz,
Ich hab auch vor kurzem mit dem Hobby angefangen und mir ähnliche Fragen gestellt.
Ich hab mich für ne Flysky FSi6 x entschieden. die gab es mit Empfänger für ca 55 Euro bei Amazon.
Da lassen sich die Anfangs und Endpunkte der Servos einstellen und noch so einiges mehr, falls du doch mal andres fliegen willst.
Ich hab auch nen Shop entdeckt der einzelne FT Foamboard Platten verkauft.
Die Preise liegen je nach menge zwischen ca 2,79 und 2,51 je nachdem wie viele du nimmst und dann kommen noch 5 Euro Versand dazu.
Ich hoffe ich konnte dir helfen falls noch fragen sind schreib mich kurz an.

Danke für deine Antwort, ich werde mit die Funke mal anschauen, bin in der Zwischenzeit leider noch nicht viel weiter gekommen... Ich habe noch einen Umzug vor mir, dann will ich loslegen. Das Thema Fernbedienung, Empfänger, Seros und Akku ist für mich das schwierigste. MIt welchem Flugmodell beginnst du?

Hallo Fritz,
Ich hab mir ne " FT Simple Cub" gebaut, das ist aber mehr aus Verlegenheit entstanden.
Ich hatte da noch nicht das Foamboard von FT entdeckt, zumindest nicht zu einem vertretbaren Preis, und hatte mir "alternativen" aus dem www bestellt. Die haben aber das Problem, das die Größe meistens nicht stimmt, dazu kommt noch das höhere Gewicht und das sich das Papier nicht so leicht ablösen lässt und außerdem sind es 70cm länge statt 73cm wie beim Original. Da haben die Tragflächen nicht gepasst sonnst wäre es ein "FT Explorer" geworden.
Bei der Funke ist der Vorteil das die unter anderem Namen ( und für mehr Geld) bei Conrad verkauft wird und das es deshalb eine deutsche Bedienungsanleitung gibt.
Die Servos sind no name Dinger von Amazon 6 stück für 13 Euro aus UK.
Der Akku ist ein Turnigy 2200mah; 3 cell; den hab ich für 16 Euro gekauft bei Ebay mit Versand aus Deutschland. Bei Hobbyking gibt es den zwar günstiger aber ich wollte nicht so lange darauf warten :.
Das Ladegerät ist ein Super Multi Charger B6AC 80 Watt geworden gibt es bei Ebay, es funktioniert hat mich aber echt Nerven gekostet, die Anleitung gibt es nur auf englisch und dann auch noch so klein geschrieben das ich schon beinahe ne lupe gebraucht hab. Ich hab ewig gebraucht bis ich raus hatte wie man da nen Akku lädt. Jetzt wo ich es weiß ist es auch einfach aber der weg dahin war anstrengend.

Danke für die Infos, es macht den Einstieg deutlich leichter wenn man nicht alles selbst herausfinden muss. Sollte ich mich auch für dieses Ladegerät entscheiden, weiss ich dann wen ich fragen kann ;-)
