Just know that DAL 'unbreakable' props break and you will break them. Buy at least 5 full sets to start learning.
Also, when you get parts, start your own build thread here on FT. This does a few things.
1. It gives you a place to put your photos and share video. We like pics and video here. This gives us a place to cheer you on when you hit milestones.
2. When you get stuck on something, and we all do, it gives you a consistent place to ask questions so we can help you build, fly, crash...
3. It shows other newbies that this can be done by mere mortals. Right now 5 other newbies are watching and screwing up the courage to try this. Start your own thread and show them how.
4. Lastly, and I do this all the time, it serves as a repository for your settings. Windows 10 has wiped me out 3 times now. When I need to look up the PIDs for my tricopter or Alien or WarpQuad, they are here on our forums and I can just look them up and plug them in.

Excellent Post Cranial. I never thought of using FT build thread as a back up for the back ups. I might have to update my build threads just for that reason alone hehe.
Oh and about Dal props breaking That is a REALLY hard task to accomplish. If you break on it was guaranteed to be a spectacular crash. I bend them most times with my crashes. I have made more then a few look like 3 legged octopi

I plan on making a thread about my build that includes pictures because pictures make everything better. I plan on getting 6 prop sets, for when I run into a tree. However, I am hoping that the trees will move out of my way as I fly at them.
What are PIDs? I know that they are talking about the FC but I don't know what they are. The FC part really confuses me. Is there a good video or site that explains the FC really well? I know that they control the setting for the quad but I don't know anything else. I was thinking of doing the Flyduino Kiss FC because Rotor Riot as great videos about setting it up. They also have a build video that uses basically the same parts such as the frame, PDP, TX/RX, and the Kiss FC. Which will also help me to know where to solder and what to connect to it.
Thank you for the great support and guidance. I have wanted to get into flying things since I was a little kid, probably 4 or 5. When I was seven I got an Air Hogs plane, and I broke it within a fed days. That experience really discouraged me for a long time. However about 4 years ago I started looking at hobby grade planes and quads. Since then I have wanted to try it all, planes, quads, helis, cars, boats. I have been wanting to build a plane or a quad for a super long time, but every time I start looking at what I want and what I would need the price has always scared me away. But now I am going to just jump in and hope for the best.
