Best replacement motor bearings?

Hi all,
Over the last year I put some old NTM 28-30 1200kv motors on a new T-copter frame. The first frame I had them on, they flew really smooth… But of course, I now know that NTM motors burn out way to fast. All of the motors have terrible rattle and the onboard video is completely useless. I pressed out the bearings from one of the motors in an effort to replace them:

While looking around, I couldn't find this information anywhere else, so I'll post the dimensions here:

NTM 28-30 1200kv
Large bearing: OD=8 W=4 ID=3
Small bearing: OD=7 W=3 ID=3

They were both pretty rough to begin with, but definitely shot now that I've tapped them out. My main problem is, I can't find a cheap-ish distributor! Boca has some, but i'd be paying $50 for a set… Not likely.

Does anyone have a favorite or know of reputable sources for durable, long-lasting bearings?
Any response appreciated :)

Seems they have the right ones, although they didn't bother taking more than one thumbnail photo:
This would be the fat, stubby bearing with the tiny 3mm shaft..

Thanks! I'll keep looking around as always, but I'll bookmark these.

I found another distributor: Simply Bearings
Seems.. simple enough… eh? :black_eyed:

They do supply the right sizes, but apparently the manufacturing industry is more complicated than I expected. There are several types:

3x8x4 "Budget"
http://simplybearings.co.uk

3x8x4 "Major Branded"
http://simplybearings.co.uk

And for the smaller one:
3x7x3 "Budget"
http://simplybearings.co.uk

3x7x3 "Major Branded"
http://simplybearings.co.uk

The above are just "metal," but the smaller size is also available in these two flavors of stainless steel:
3x7x3 "Budget - Stainless"
http://simplybearings.co.uk

3x7x3 "Budget - Stainless"
http://simplybearings.co.uk

I think I'll be getting 6 large and 6 small. That's 2 complete sets, or 1 and some spares.

I use boca bearings myself, they have a discount line as well, that what I bought to do the bearings in my Turnigy baby beast motors.

Are they still running smooth? If they're any better than the ones that come with the 28-30s, then it's settled :)

EDIT: Is there a page for the "discount line"? I can't find anything.

I think there used to be a separate page for them, but search for Econo on their website. Those are the bearings I used and they seem to be good so far. I put them in a 250 size quad motor that has been crashed multiple times since then and it seems to be holding up quite well. Better than the stock bearings did anyhow.

I can't seem to find any specific "economy" section. It's unfortunate, since they have a ton of bearings for sale with no foolproof way to sort them.
Anyway, just ordered 2 sets of "Major Branded" bearings from Simplybearings. I'll let you know how they run and if they hold up!

With any luck, they'll get here some time in the next century. ;)
Thanks for all your help!
