Brand vs Brand

NOT starting a brand battle. LOL!

Think of Spektrum as iPhone and RadioMaster/ETX as Android.
Both work great.
One is pricey, but somewhat more user friendly if you don't want to deal with all the tech details and uses more or less limited proprietary-ish radio equipment.
The other is very affordable, less user friendly to a degree, although more customizable and versatile if you enjoy digging into the tech details.

Well, that's my opinion anyway.

I have Airtronics, Futaba, Spektrum and RadioMaster . Each has its place. Love 'em all, too.
Well yeah I agree, but not everyone can afford the big brands. And I honestly wonder if there is any quality difference between these

Attention! This is meant to be a friendly discussion about the quality of different brands!!!!

You are comparing batteries there right? I use Ovonic. And gens ace/ tattu. Once acci drained one down to 0% In under a minute, still use that battery.

Yeah I have a ovonic that got left up in a tree over night and drained down below 3.0v per a cell ( I think it was 7-8v and it was a three cell) and it still works great!!

Yup, I’ve had venom batteries puff, eflite batteries puff, and other expensive batteries. But never these cheap off-brand batteries.🤔

Haven't been really pleased with tattu though, have had two 1300mah 3s only to have them break and one of them swell with medium abuse. but the ovonics seem to be more forgiving.

I figure it can be a discussion for Transmitters, motors, edfs, batteries ect.

medium abuse?
Well okay, maybe medium heavy......I just make sure for the rest of us that we are getting quality products😉
I meant that I never left in a tree over night but the cells did go below 3.0v once or twice. and lots of crashes on that battery too 😂
🤣

Invest in the Higher C Tattus. Been running tattus for almost a decade. I can puff the low C ones no problem by running them at a higher current than they are rated based on C*mah. The High C ones I can rip all day long and they barely get warm even at or above the rated C*mah. My biggest problem is I always seem to catastrophically crash with my best and/or newest batteries on board. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah I seem to have a knack of crashing with my brand new batteries! Last one with a crash broke loose on impact an sailed threw the prop with in turn made a slice in the battery!🫣

The thing I learned when it comes to motors, firewalls and batteries is never have the motor mount screws sticking out the back of the firewall. The only time I had a battery catch fire combat ship crashed motor first battery slid forward and was greeted by the motor mount screws. Was epic fire for a few minutes.
