I made some of NerdNic's chuck gliders a while ago and was playing with one today. After becoming dissatisfied with my throwing arm I looked into alternate throwing methods. Rubber bands didn't work so well, neither did bungee cords. I finally decided to try something a little different.
Turns out, a fishing pole with about 15 feet of line out and hooked onto the launching pin of a glider can be used to get some serious speed with a very smooth release! I wish I had some video of the test runs but I'd recommend trying it with small gliders.
What other methods have you used with small chuck gliders?
