Help! Does FS IA10B require a separate battery to operate?

Hello, I'm new to the hobby and building a tiny trainer. I have purchased a FlySky FSi6x RC controller which came with an FSia10B receiver and was wondering whether the receiver requires it's own battery to operate. I.E. the motor has a battery and the receiver has another battery.

No you do not. Just plug the black esc wire into channel 3.
