Hello! My FS-IA6B receiver isn't lighting up when connected to my Durandal flight controller. The FC is connected to my PC via USB, and it was working perfectly fine yesterday.

Does it need to be charged? How can I charge it? I tried plugging my ace battery into the FC and letting it be for a while, but it looks like there is no change. Thank you!

There isn’t any battery of the receiver. Probably not on the flight controller either. So it depends on whether your flight controller can be powered by only USB and whether it will pass power from USB on to the receiver.

When you plug into USB, do you get any lights on your FC? If not, then that’s the first problem.

Separately, you have your flight controller plugged into the PPM port on the receiver. That’s obsolete. Can you use sbus or ibus with that FC instead?

Try reading the instructions.I have not dealt with such a controller.BUT, the power to the receiver should come on the 3 (gas regulation) . The outputs of the receiver must be connected to the inputs of the controller (you have nothing). I don't understand your idea. First, explain the outcome of your task.Your battery has a small power (I use it to power the transmitter) and a large capacity.

There is power to the flight controller. It's faint in the photo but there are lights light up on it and it's communicating with my PC. (Sorry, I forgot to mention that the FC is plugged into my PC)

I’m not sure if this’ll work, but try plugging it into ch3.

That won’t make a difference in terms of getting power to the receiver. The positive and negative pins on all the outputs are soldered together, so you can get power to the receiver on any output.

Test the receiver by plugging it into any other 5v power source. You can use a single cell of any lipo, or better get, if you have an ESC with BEC, power it with that, just to verify that it still works.

If it does with that way, I’d use a multimeter to see of any voltage is coming through the flight controller to the positive and negative pins. Maybe it’s too low.

I believe it’s generally ok to plug your flight battery in while it’s plugged into USB. Are you sure you weren’t doing that the other day when it was working?

Plugging the battery into the FC may have been a huge mistake.
How did you do it? Did any smoke come out?

You also have the Rx plugged into the incorrect port on the FC. You have it in port 8.
The Rx needs to be plugged into the "RC In" port on the FC.

Just through here, no smoke came out. Thank you for the suggestions I will try them out when I get the chance and let you know if they work

Is that a proprietary BEC made for that flight controller?
That is a STANDARD Current/Voltage sensor for Pixhawk-ish flight controllers.
