DXS Dual Rates

My Spektrum DXS transmitter has a dual rate switch, but I don't know how to adjust my rates. When I change the rates from high to low by flipping the switch, it does change the throw in the control surfaces, but I'd like to have some way to adjust exactly how much throw my plane has. Does anyone know how to adjust that on a DXS radio?

If there's a programming plug in the DXS, you can plig that into a computer and adjust the rates from there. Spektrum sells a special cord for that purpose.

The only way to adjust anything on the DXS Radio is the use of the Spektrum Software

I just got the programming cable, but when I plug it into the transmitter the Spektrum software doesn't allow me to adjust any of the options. The transmitter is updated and properly connected to the software. Does anyone have any ideas?
