Ben, I'm going to be cutting one of these on the Rascal once it's up and running. There's a club member with an F-4 obsession that NEEDS one in his life.
Holy crap this is amazing. How difficult do you think it would be to put 50mm edfs in it? The same ones used your F-5? I'm thinking of attempting a stripped down version(no retracts, no flaps, no rudder, conventional elevator, smaller battery). What do you think?

I think a stripped-down version is a GREAT idea! I'm not 100% sure twin-50mm would be enough thrust, but if you really put it on a diet and do all the minimizing you talk about, it might actually be ok. It's just so BULKY at this size, I worry about the drag more than the weight. I think twin-64mm fans on a stripped-down version would definitely work.
...Mad props man...
Props!?! I thought this was an EDF?
!. Does your F4 have a functional Rudder?
2. Is the stab parts in the PDF files for conventional elevators? It appears so, and if it is what are the changes (shape size) needed to go full flying stab?
3. Did you know that the two rudder pieces in the PDF are both right side images instead of a mirror for one?
Enough for now. It's still an awesome build dude!
