Yeah, it looks like the TinyWhoop uses the FrSky (confusingly similarly named to FlySky but completely unrelated) protocol. You actually can add an external FlySky receiver to it, but that would be extra weight and expense. You should just buy the RadioMaster Pocket at that point.

that is what i am planing on because the pocket transmitter looks like a great overall radio.

I have one of the Pocket radios with native ELRS support and a 4in1 module on the back. Works great as a backup for my main transmitter. They are really handy and nice.
