Foam board nitro edge 540

So I have several old nitro engine of various sizes and i was wanting to build an FT edge 540 to put one in, does anyone know of a way to NOT have the plane fall apart in mid air due to the hot glue/foam board melting? Atm my current plan would be to 3d print an abs cowl for around the motor and then have plywood as motor mounts, so that i wouldn't have foam or hot glue directly next to the engine, but idk how hot these engines while flying. And would i need to scale up the plans to use a fox eagle .60 engine? Thanks!

Look up chloroplast as it does not melt when exposed to gasoline. As far as scaling, I would try 110% with an 11 inch prop.

I mean coroplast

Are you saying i should build the entire plane of chloroplast? or just the part around the engine? Also the engine id be using would use a 14in prop, so would you say scale up to 140%? that seems like a little much....

After the election pick up some of the campaign signs as many are made from coroplast, cheapest you will find. Another option is check out sign shops they usually have some laying around from other projects for free or very little $.

Not likely foam board will hold up to Nitro as the exhaust gasses get all over the under side and side of the plane which contains oils.
