i was wondering if I could change up the prop on the bixler 2 to a folding one, but it seems finding one is a problem. is it possible to make one using a folding prop spinner and flipping the blades.

That worked with a Zagi I did years ago.

The only problem I had on a pusher was stopping the blades going over centre as their is no fuselage in the way as there is with a tractor folder. If a blade stopped over centre it would not unfold as the motor speeded up (the other always would!) the out of balance could rip the motor loose!
I eventually incorporated a 'stop' to limit how far the blade could fold. In then worked fine.

Have a look into the Multiplex Easystar II as this uses a 7x6 folding pusher prop with it all already thought out to not go over the centre and give the imbalance problem. It even uses a rubber band to fold the prop up when the motor is turned off rather than having one hanging from gravity
