Here’s my entry for this year’s build-ruary:

The build was very quick and easy, and I tried one ross foamboard for the first time. It’s pretty nice, and I like how it’s a solid 5mm thick whereas adams rediboard is usually 4-4.5 mm thick. It works well for this kind of simple build, but for master series stuff rediboard is better because the paper peels easier.

Here’s the video - it flies fantastic! I highly recommend it. I tested out those $12 AliExpress “power packs” that use a 30a esc, 2212 2200kv motor and blue 9g servos. I was pleasantly surprised at the performance and it’s a great match for this plane.

Here’s the mini nemesis by @Matagami Designs . I was chatting with @SquirrelTail while building and I totally forgot to get pics of the build. It went together extremely well and looks absolutely fantastic.

I got started on the ft p-38 today.

I still have a couple piece left but here’s what I have printed so far of the 3D printed parts that @Matagami Designs designed for this beautiful bird:

One of the reasons that the p-38 booms are hard to make is because to fit them on a sheet of foamboard you have to go against the grain. To get around this I glued two sheets of foam together using white gorilla glue.

Got the wing build. I used white gorilla glue to give me more work time.

So it’s almost half way through the month and I still haven’t completed one build! So I decided I needed a quick and simple build. One of my friends designed a mini chuck glider, and it glided so well he scaled it up and it also glided great, so I decided to take his rough set of plans and draw up a nice set of plans for one that can be made rc! Here’s how it turned out:

I decided to add thrust vectoring, so it should be a lot of fun! I’ll post video of the maiden!

The Aerojet had a successful maiden! I’m very happy with it and I’ll be posting the plans soon.

I had a sudden impulse to build an FT kraken, so I changed the Icon A-5 to the Kraken. It'll be getting LED's so it should make a perfect nigh flyer!

That looked like it flew quite well. I suppose it makes a difference to have a skilled pilot behind the sticks. I though it almost ate it near the end of the clip. Went out of frame but it had to of been quite low. 😬 Seemed fast for 3s I never took mine up to 4s.

It actually did take a tumble a little after the video stopped. I tried something it didn’t like and it kinda did it’s own thing and I completely lost orientation. Nothing broke except for the prop thankfully, and I got several more flights on it later. Thanks again for the awesome design!

GREAT work sir... it looks like you managed to get 2/3 of the MS P-38 build and 3 compete and flying build. Congratulations!

Thanks, I sure had a lot of fun! Hopefully I can get the P-38 done and in the air soon, It's such a great flying bird.

I'd like to, but it'll probably be the old one since I don't want the new one to get a ton of hangar rash from the drive haha.
