Gee Bee R2

Depends on the cowl shape and airflow patterns. If you have lots of flow, the cowl just becomes another drag item. Some obscure data available for NACA drag reducing radial cowls which increased thrust on the real R2

Tiling should occur automatically for oversized sheets printed through most OS, but printer choice can flummox stuff while printing

I ended up having to use blender to unwrap most of the plane, but I got there eventually. Here are the first sets of skin plans, but once again, they are not final, and some may not fit perfectly. These are just the skins for some of the fuse, there will be a second round for the rest of the fuse and the wing later on once I have built them.

You're getting there!

It's a radial, streamline is a consideration of an option. The whole plane is smaller than some engine cowlings on later planes like a super Connie.

R2 actually had some relevant wing area so the ailerons wouldn't reverse on stall attitudes
My brother is doing a fantastic job designing this plane. I want to say this again because I can't take credit for it lol. I have a super stearman, stenson and another air tractor still to finish so we are busy. His prototype is almost ready to fly hopefully we will get it finished and maidened this weekend just canopy, and wing skins left to cut out. Erc has been a real time saver. Thank you for your patience he is in 8th grade, and I am a junior, so we are still busy with school for a few more years. I will get a photo of it posted this weekend some time (It is big and very fat)
