Help! gremlin air mode not working

Ive been trying to get air mode to work I've tried to set it to a switch and also turned on all the time and still nothing am I missing something

What is it doing/not doing?

its not winding up and when I try to do a flip it make a big loop instead of of a tight flip

Not sure what you mean by winding up, but to do quick flips and rolls you need to drop the throttle to zero and give maximum stick deflection. If it's still not fast enough, you need to increase your rates. Airmode just gives you control at zero/low throttle.
