HELP! Blank screen issue

Hi everyone,

I just bought the Boscam TS832 & RC832 combo from Banggood.com http://www.banggood.com/Eachine-TS832-RC832-5_8G-32CH-600mW-FPV-Transmitter-Receiver-7_4-16V-p-1079941.html to get started in FPV. The rest of my gear is as follows:

• Sylvania SDVD8706 screen
• Turnigy 1000mah 3S 20c lipo
• Eachine 1000tvl ccd camera (with 12V/5V step-down)

Everything's hooked up, with a fully charged battery, and I don't have an image; although I can hear the static clear up when the tx and rx are on the same channel. AND, oddly enough, I have seen static w/ a black background a few times, almost like it's connected.
To use my screen, I purchased this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-2-5mm-Male-to-3-5mm-Female-Stereo-Audio-Headphone-Adapter-Converter-Jack-/332034561181?hash=item4d4ecd549d:g:6sgAAOSwal5YLKnJ to connect the screen to the receiver. I have done extensive testing using other screens (and channels/frequencies on tx/rx) that have an AV input so I can use the cable that came with the receiver, and still nothing.

Side note: I am running the receiver off of a 12v dc power supply rather than the supplied JST battery cable.

I have thoroughly attempted to isolate the problem by testing different components, and I have not been able to detect the issue.
Additionally, I tried my mobius with the cable from Hobbyking, https://hobbyking.com/en_us/mobius-usb-to-av-out-fpv-cable-with-charging.html and the same result occurs.
What's wrong here? Any advice for a noob is GREATLY appreciated. I'm stumped! (and frustrated!! )

Problem solved. It was the 2.5mm to 3.5mm connector, AND the camera. Both didn't work. Mobius direct to AV tube TV, and everything works.
