What about using four of these Fisher and Paykal washing machine motors?

The problem would then be propellers and also batteries. Is this even possible? Has anyone used these motors for something like this before? Where I live you can get them for free.

What do you guys think?

I think that would be awesome!!!! Assuming a quad, for batteries you could use 4 hobbyking 12S packs to make a 24s 9000mAh capable of 500A discharge at ~100v. Don't know what you can do for speed controllers in that size range... Also, your prop choice is 100% dependent on the RPM of the motor, but it seems to me you'll be somewhere up in the 40" range
