How was FliteFest Ohio 2019?

Looks like everyone had an awesome time! Hoping to be there next year.

Reminds me of a funny story about Josh Bixler that I heard on a podcast. It was at one of the Flitefest's, and Josh was with his wife Jen in one of the tents. Apparently Josh had to go in the back for something, but never came out. When Jen went to check on him a while later, he apparently found a spot and basically fell asleep from exhaustion. Jen let him have some time to sleep and when people asked where he was, she just said something like, "oh you know him, he's probably running around here somewhere". I'd imagine that man does get tired at these events.

I remember that story from the podcast! It was pretty funny!

Very nice picture story. Glad to hear that y'all had a good time!

That airplane was designed and built as a kind of 30 day challenge. Two were built and first flown in public at Flite Fest South in Florida. Builders: two awesome dudes from Horizon Hobbies.

Oh yeah, I had an amazing time! I was only there Thursday and Wednesday evening but it was so much fun!! I also went to edgewater Wednesday afternoon!

I’m not sure what “it” was but I think whatever it was, I sure found it!

Failed attempts with the evangel 4500...

Although I never lasted for more than 20 seconds in combat, it was still a blast to watch!! (the one time I had a plane ready it was set up 3 channel with rudder on the left stick and nothing except elevator one the right stick and that was back before I flew with rudder... it didn’t last long. )

And I had an absolute blast flying my ft simple cub around in the evening!!

It was such a fun experience and I HIGHLY recommend that anybody who is thinking about going, DO IT - it is a life-changing event that will stay with you for many many years to come! I really hope they don’t cancel ff2020 due to corona, cause I’ve been looking forward to it ever since ff 2019 ended. I will die inside of it gets cancelled!

I wish I could go! But it's to far to drive and plane tickets are to expensive.

It was fun. There was an attempt to attach my plane to @B.S. Project's STAN cargo plane and it failed miserably. Somehow over several combats I had no hits, but 12 near misses. One of my favorite planes was the rocket gliders. I also found the wingtip of the monster P-47 that crashed, it was in the grain.
