Here is my second winter build. A unfinished Hyperion P-51. I found this on Craigslist for $50 dollars. It seems hyperion made these for a short while. So replacement parts are all most impossible to find. It has a fiberglass fuselage with covered balsa wings and tail feathers. The fiberglass is good quality with a fair amount of scale details. It is a .25 size plane with a wing span of 47.5 inches. The plan will be to add as much scale detail as possible.
I have began by removing the covering from the wings and control surfaces.
Here is a picture of the Hyperion P-51 next to the modified Mountain Models P-51 that i will be finishing up in the next couple weeks.
Here's were I'm at this far. Covering removed and the rudder covered with sheeting. I've also done some sanding were the previous owner got epoxy onto the fuselage when installing the elevator.
