Hey everybody, not much of a presence here lately, @Hondo76251 good to see you around again. Latest project on the go this season, a J-29 Tunnan 50mm EDF. This one nearing completion. Hopefully I will get to give it a go before snow starts to fly. Hope the rest of you have got a start on the build season! Pictures are in reverse order lol.

that looks excellent, I have been eyeing the j29 for a while. could you release plans ot ayleast some drwaings that you based the building off of?

Here is a pdf of plans I worked from, you know me everything is a one off thing. Included another pic that I referenced as well for saw-tooth wing. Hope these and my build help you out a bit.

I re-stumbled across the J-29 3 weeks ago and have been obsessed. I've not used EDF before, just the A Powerpack and Flite Test aircraft. I was looking for a hobby foam kit but couldn't find one then I checked again and saw your post!
I may look at the 3D print option for 20 Euro but also looked at the balsa version that you build is based on. Even considering 3D printing the ribs and stuff like some kind of combo.
A prop version could work, just to get something flying.

Wingspan is 25 inches, it will be skinned with poster board. The wood is 3mm ply.

Now those look like a good set of plans, wish I had found those before I started mine lol!

Thanks for that info. I will make mine with a prop as I haven't dabbled with EDF before. Will probs use a combo of your plans and those other ones I shared. I may consider brown paper and PVA glue as covering. Knowing where to cut the hobby foam and rolling it is tricky. I looked at a papercraft variant and thought of scaling that up.
