Yes, I know. We don't like that term here, but usually it stands for multirotors, not for fixed wings.

The small bit of comfort is that most of the fines seem to me to be what I call a "stupidity" charge. If you really want that cool shot and are willing to pay $1000 for it... then go for it. Most common people aren't going to be bothered. But it only takes a few bad eggs to get the rules tightened down to ruin it for everyone else.

Has nothing to do with the common definition of "drone". It's all personal RC aircraft.

This was fixed wing as far as I know...It's the most famous case
