Had a crash the other day and I'm not sure what the deal is. Plane suddenly lost all control & power near the ground and impacted. There's also an engine noise that I've noticed as well. Here are some videos of the incidents:
In this video I thought it would be funny to strafe my friend while he ran out to retrieve his crashed plane, but that doesn't go as planned. After the engine cuts I am unable to control the plane whatsoever. After I recovered it the controls all responded normally as if nothing happened.
This video features the engine noise. No clue is this is related to the sudden loss of control but this seems to coincide with reduced thrust and difficulty climbing:
Did some testing this morning and just let the motor run for a while and didn't notice anything unusual. I had another incident too (not on video) where the plane decided to ignore all control inputs, but maintained the same power setting and climbed instead of cutting power and diving into the ground. Here's my setup (FliteTest Powerpack C from a few years ago):
Transmitter: Spektrum DX6i
Receiver: Spektrum AR6100e
ESC: EMAX BLHeli 30A
Motor: GrandTurbo GT2215/09
No clue what's causing this. I want to blame the ESC for the engine roughness and cutting power to the receiver, but it could be the transmitter (or anything really). Thinking I'm better off just buying new parts until the issue disappears, unless there's something here that points to a specific part.
