This is not me in the video but it's my engine. I sent my brand new, never run ASP 1.20 four stroke to Adrian at CH Ignitions so it could be converted from glow plug to spark ignition with a spark plug and an electronic ignition module. My original plan was to burn glow fuel with the spark ignition. This way you can use the original glow fuel carburetor. One benefit with spark over glow ignition with glow fuel is you get almost complete combustion so almost no oily film on the plane from the exhaust. Also about twice the flight time on the same amount of fuel as the glow plug. So much better fuel economy.
Well, Adrian took it a step further and went ahead and converted it to gas and here are the results. Keep in mind this is the first time this engine has run so it's not broken in. The RPM will drop more on idle and go up more at full throttle after break in.
