@L Edge , I can't tell from your pictures or video if you are using a symetric airfoil or not. Can you post a side view of your bird?
LB
In thread#15, I answered that is symmetrical. I already have the CG point in FFF(fast forward flight, video).
Sat down and laid out my plan of attack.
1) Found out you really you have
2 forms of expo. You can set the stiffness of the "bird" by the FC(like mine lose so I can fly it easily) and also by setting the expo(finetune) in the transmitter. Real nifty. Let's see what happen in wind.
2) If you notice in the lower right hand corner of pic, a
fan. Guess what? I now have wind machine(gusty when oscillates) that I can practice(in and out of ground effects) and since I have an L shape room in the cellar, I can hide from wind. So have an escape to no wind if needed.
In my FC, transition from hover to FFF, you can set a point in the transition phase to counteract wind.
The program for example does this, let's say 15 %( that is 15%
from hover and 85% from FFF the plane is tilted into the wind going from vert to horizontal. So it will nose over and stay if it matches the wind, will hover. You can set any value. Does you software have that capability?
3) Go to industrial park and L shape building which shields wind, can now try to practice descents.
4) Almost assured my rudders (small, so tipping over if wind is possible) can causing damage when landing. Going to practice where leading edge will be
parallel to wind to land.
That's my plan and as mentioned, these vehicles tend to have a short life. We'll see if it can leave the nest..
