G'day all from Australia. I'm a long time scratch builder, well only 9yrs anyway. Have always used poster board and hot glue.

Plane's are quite expensive here and scratch building is a easy way to get into the hobby, and has made it easy to get friends involved.

Hoping to learn more so I can keep sharing this side of the hobby.

Thanks for the welcome. It's amazing what you can build when you think about it. Have just got hold of a 3d resin printer to make a few bits and pieces, also to make engine mounts, hinges and control horns. Postage is such a crippling issue it is cheaper to buy 1 litre of resin and delivery then buying components individually.

Sweet! I use my fdm printer for all my planes! And It makes great firewalls.

Imagine the scale detail with a resin printer.🤯

You might start thinking.. should I get 15 or 20 sheets of foam?

That’s what I’m sure some of us think.😂

Welcome Griff! I’ve been around the world, Australia is the place to be, my friend! And don’t listen to any of these guys, 20 sheets is a tuesday. Just get it over with and order a pallet! 🤣
