Overweight edge 540?

I have finished building my FT edge from scratch, however, the foam available in my country obviously isn’t quite the same as FT foam. I’m getting concerned about the weight, takeoff weight is going to be around 1300g. This gives me a wing cube loading of around 12.7, quite high? Will it even fly?

The thicker foam generally causes the most important CG to fall outside the aft limits which is bad Juju. If holding it safely verticle at full power indicates it will climb, it will fly but be limited in some acrobatics. Really heavy stuff does fly but is kinda hard to do

The specification gives an all up weight of 835g. That means you are virtually 50% over weight. It will need to fly fast so take might be a serious problem.

I have emailed flite test, apparently that number is without a power pack

Ok so then what's it weigh without the battery? If the answer is still over 835, it is heavier than planned.

This FT site suggests the FT Edge weight without a battery is 680g.
