I'm reasonably experienced at building fpv multicopters and understand the Phantom 2 but I have some questions on the P2 Vision +.
A friend wants me to mod it for extra range for video and control link. I understand the P2V+ is Video 2.4 and Ctrl 5.8. The off the shelf solution would be the wifi extender, but why not change the VTX and TX/RX.
Is it possible to remove the 5.8 ctrl and replace with a Futaba SBUS??
Then remove the 2.4 Video and replace with IOSD MINI and Immersionrc 600mw?? I know people will say why not just get a P2 with gimbal and mod that? Well my friend likes his P2V+ and wants a more reliable extended range.
