I know I caught your attention with the title,so here is the basic rundown.

I designed a 3d printable pen plotter that can be built completely for 75 dollars, counting filament. It is meant to be an easy build and is meant to plot on a 20 by 30 inch sheet of foamboard but can be adjusted for any other material.

I currently cannot build this but anyone who can please let me know and I would love to share this.

I would love to see your design! It would be awesome to be able to plot on foamboard and other materials.

Very neat design! I wonder if the roller axis could be optimized to use a single stepper motor.

so I randomly foudn the design of this in my list of designs, and would actually like to build it. Here are some photos. Knowing what I know now about cad design, I am surprised at how well I designed this but would also like to modify the design a bit to make it work better knowing what I know now from my experience with building a 3d printer. the main think I want to do, is integrate a 3d printed linear rail into the vertical aspect, as I have tried to pritn one and it works great and it will allow fro teh mounting of many differrent tools, including maybe a drememl at some point or a needle cutter more likely.
