Hi all,
I'm completely new to rc flying.. my only experience comes from flying toy drones. However I can't get much out of it because of its flite time in the air so I'd like to move on. I ordered the Mario bundle kit as a start. I'd like to know if anyone has a list or can give me some insight into FT' s terminology used like for example: servos, ftp ect. Also regarding plans, how do you ngo from the design itself to printing it out then then to cutting? Are there any videos for this?. And last how do you determine the right size motor, electronics and material for a build project?
Thanks very much

Go to specs sheet, see what power pack you can run on the plane, go to the FT Store, and search it up. Or find equivalent spec parts elsewhere.

Here’s how to make them:

Thankyou so for replying...your information is fantastic. Silly question but I have to ask....once I print the plans off my printer, would a print shop be able to cut the sleigh right from the foam board or, would they only be able to print onto cardstock that I would use as a template on a foam board?. Like I said, I'm extremely new to this. Thank you!

No, they won’t do it from foamboard, I’m also not sure if they print on card stock either. I just print off the plans, tape em together, tape them to foamboard, and start cutting.

Another option is printing the plans and taping them together then gluing them on poster board to make templates of the parts. The templates can then be used to trace onto foam board over and over for repair parts or to make a second plane.

Nice explanation @Mr Man. Should make this a sticky.

You CAN go to a poster printing place or a drafting supply place and get the data file printed at whatever size you desire up to I believe "F" paper (+400 % bigger) or "Roll" size at even bigger expense but there's 2 caveats: like tiling the plans from your printer there are errors introduced into the print due to limitations in the printer. You may not have access to such a sign printing place. Places like OZ away from large cities probably don't have the need for a staples.on every other corner.
