Help! Would rc helicopter board work in a glider/ plane?

Honestly i dont know where to post this.

Ive recently took apart an old rc helicopter ( mh-35 spektrum helicopter) from my couisn, and found this board inside it. After doing some digging i found it to be this board (warning, sketchy site) and I noticed it looked a bit similar to one of those boards from the hobbyzome champ, and i have a couple questions regarding this.
1: would this radio work with the board? (Since it claims to work for dsmx)
2: could i use the board to make a small rc glider? or would it being a helicopter board have some strange gyro effects of the plane making it hard to or impossible to control.

It is plausible but will probably take a LOT of rework to make it work. HorizonHobby uses proprietary boards and code which makes interchanging boards difficult. You may be able to use one of their AS3X programming cables and other software to make the required changes, but it will take hacking skills.

What heli is that board out of? I actually have a heli with a dead board. Maybe I could trade you a plane board for a heli board.

EDIT:. Actually that board is out of a coaxial heli, so it would not work in my heli without major rework either.

I think, but do not know, that this board could work for a small airplane; there is a similar board in the Hobbyzone champ.
Based on this I assume the board has an ESC for a brushed motor built in and that the servos are tied to pitch and yaw channels of the radio. If it were me I would bind it to my radio and see how it behaves, but it sounds like you don't have a transmitter yet.
