Man today has been a pretty bad day just getting home from vacation and crashing my airplane on the first day home it wouldn’t turn right apparently needs a right thrust angle by about 5 mm needs a right thrust angle but I only had it to 3 mm so it still wouldn’t turn right I guess I got my work cut out for me. This is before it crashed☹️🙃

If you wanted to make pull pull controls i was just wondering could you use some fishing line like spiderwire and tie and wrap one end of it around .8 mm wire, then put epoxy on it, then do the same for the other side? Could you use a sewing pin with the sharp end cut off so you could fit the fishing line through the hole of the pin if you use an ez connector?

Big day today, got a Gemini 1.60 for the champ, and got the hatch mounted. Going to mount the servo tray tomorrow as well as the tank tray. The engine still needs more spacers but I'll get to that later. This thing is coming together pretty quickly now that I have most of the long repetitive tasks done, it's now on to solving the problems Ive been putting of 😆

If you still want to run gas, the OS twins will all do it very well. The standard carb will meter gas well enough to run on some of them (not every production run has used the same carburetor) and you can add OS G5 plugs, though you will get more dependable running if you run ignition and a Walbro type carb. I think guys are using about a 15:1 oil mixture.

There's also a really good RCGroups thread on the topic. It's about converting the older FT120, but they're basically the same engine, the 160 just bored out slightly. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/sho...-mixture-controller-Lose-the-methanol-hassles

Idk if I'll do that but it'll definitely be on the table. My dad's going to see how well his saito 220 will run converted to gas and if it's good I'll probably do it to the Gemini

I'm also going to make a muffler for it to smooth the sound out, and clean it up a bit from the terrible looking straight pipes

U gotta let me know how U do that. I have an old Gemini 240 that I want to do that to with for when I get to the Cub. I actually bought the full conversion kit for it from Morris Mini Motors. I am experimenting with a Magnum 91 FS for gas on my Gee Bee. We shall see how well that goes.
