Anybody else scratch building tonight?

Got the hatch done, getting ready to glue the nose on and do some shaping. Hatches are usually an afterthought to me as far as putting in magnets and stuff so I thought I would get ahead of the curve this time and do it right.

@SquirrelTail The Telemaster got some upgrades today, Bushed it up a bit:LOL:. God bless the dollar store:LOL: @Taildragger What do you think of those wheels? Never know what you'll find in the toy aisle at the dollar store, for $3 I got me two sets of wheels and two sets of shocks:LOL: View attachment 220881 View attachment 220882 . The tires are rubber like and flexy. This plane still holds a spot on my racks which makes it one of the top 14, thinking about upgrading it to ailerons too.

I've got two words for you: Ingenuity.

I've decided Monte doesn't like skinning planes with cardstock. Hatches & top skins have taken me as long as all the rest of the plane. This plane will be out of style by the time I finish it. It's not easy when you're cursed with CPBD.
Pics probably tomorrow.

it has its limitations and difficulties, rarely go that route anymore. It's a nice clean look but getting there is a pain. That is actually the first time I have used cardstock in awhile

Got the nose profiles shaped, just a matter of rounding it out now. Motors shipped yesterday from Wisconsin so I am hoping they will be this week sometime. It's looking pretty colorful right now

 Uh oh my blood is getting hotter. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Are you apologizing for the process? Or making sure you don't take the blame for my grief?
I've already decided it's all your fault. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: And damn it looks good.

Today's progress, just applied the first coat of the Wood glue sealer to the XPS pieces. Fuse is complete other than elevator servo. While that is drying I am going to redo the nacelles as they are just quite not wide enough for the motors,

Thanks my friend. I'm kinda struggling with landing gear, I know I can build the main gear into my nacelles, but something tells me this has to be a trike like the Duelist and not a taildragger. It's going to take a few mockups I think to get positioning right. Gonna have a closer look at that Duelist, start there.

Hate to lead U down the path of more work, but yeah, it has to be a trike. Would U make a 104 Starfighter a butt dragger just because it was easier?

yep , you are right. Fortunately I left the the bottom front fuse ahead of the wing open for such a situation. (not really but I'll go with that:LOL:) Front gear can go right behind the nose cone, I'll have to be careful not to position the main gear to far back, or too far forward:unsure:
