It is printed vinyl.

Not really scratch building, but it did require a bit of cutting. Wanted a field box and then remembered this disused gun cleaning/sight-in box I had in the basement collecting dust. Features a removable tray. Under the tray, there’s room for a couple receivers, batteries, chargers, and some other goodies. The removable tray has a cover that you remove to reveal some storage. That area holds screwdrivers, pliers, spare servos, spare AA batteries, etc. The box came with to pieces that insert into the tray to hold a rifle. Those pieces don’t fit an airplane very well so a little time with the scroll saw and some scrap plywood and ……

……..and got a little more done on the Old Speedster slope glider. Servo leads run (don’t forget to cut pass-through holes in the bulkheads you added….. DOH!), cowling made for the “cockpit”, and mag latches for the battery/trans access cover.

Just a clear coat left on the Cherokee, Everything is hooked up and centered, battery tray is in, and the hatch fits nice. Final weight with 3s 1500 is 670 grams.

I have been working on some details for the a Payen flying ambulance model.

Cockpit and doors. I have the stretcher locker doors and some interior to do. I think I will use colored Tape for color.

Free if you’re like me and came across it in your basement and all you had to do was wipe about 1/2” of dust off of it.
