Flying Fortress: Only need to install control rods and mount the battery between from towers. Then on to decoration.

With the words 'Fetchez la Vache!" in big letters under the wing, I think a couple of small cows (and goats) mounted on bomb racks would be appropriate.

200 sq-in wing and 17.7 ounces (w/o decoration) including battery. The 2212-1000kv pulls about 18 amps or 250watts from a 1300mah 4S. Way more battery than I need. The 8x6.5 APC is small enough to not hang up on belly landings. 1:1 thrust:weight at only 60% throttle. I'm new to these power choices, but seems pretty safe to start. Thoughts?

Just the merest glimpse of your pictures and I knew.
What a hoot!!! I'm still in stitches over it.

Some other suggestions...

Dropping - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1654503 although this would be more scene appropriate https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:393012 :ROFLMAO:

Are you electronically inclined... Arduino, soldering iron, etc. If so... something as simple as this can be used. It could run off your ESC BEC at 5V... would weigh less than a gram and no extra battery. Then you'd decide about how big speaker(s) you can drive with 2W. Even speakers that come in those greeting cards.

Both of these can be run independently or controlled by an Arduino.
MP3 player - https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804501223322.html
or this one seems to have better ways of controlling it from an Arduino

If you're really electronically inclined, many transmitters/receivers can drive an Arduino (even my lowly $50 FlySky) and you can trigger sounds (and anything else) when you want.

And you paint, fly, progress please provide pictures.

I'm not electronically inclined enough to even pronounce Arduino. My soldering skills suck. I'll see how the player I have works out. Speaker hopefully will sound off the flat bottom board nicely. This will be fun, hope it flies!

Building a new Mini Guinea, to replace my crash worn out one. < Taps > I'm working on the wings now, but I modified it from the original design significantly.

I put in a spar that covers most of the wing, made of 1/2" x 1/4" balsa, 30" long. Weight 12g, which is the same as the paint stick, but more robust. 20230109_224237_compress12.jpg

And I rolled an airfoil into the wing, rather than the the two folds of the older design. No need to inject glue like the regular design. 20230109_224352.jpg

The paper was removed from the curved inside section of the wing, but left on the ailerons and flat wing bottom that I haven't closed yet. I'm going to fuss with servo placement tomorrow and see if I have to remove some of the spar, or if I'm happy with the servos.

I shared your plane with my buddies and they're beside themselves! Our wives simply don't understand.

My daughter's get it, I raised them right. When I try to explain it to the rest of the women in my family, it's like deer in the headlights.

I like the Rust-Oleum stone texture, but paint alone added 1.6oz, almost a 10% increase! Still need to add stone outlines with Sharpie, add bomb racks (I mean livestock racks), install a sound card, and paint these little Elf and Dwarf fighters, but coming along. I think I got enough power to fly this brick. Maybe this weekend.

I really liked how you shared the intermediate step with the pre-sanded foam pieces. I'm of the old balsa station / tissue or now using the 3D printed. Foam... I'm trying to embrace. It was an ah-ha moment with the butcher stroked foam.

Would you have any intermediate steps of the canopy process? Your cockpit / canopy makes it truly special.

Thanks for the kind comments buddy , I made this video for the recent Sea Vixen I built as a few folk were asking how I go about making them ๐Ÿ‘
I still have to venture into the realm of balsa and sooo looking forward to that day I land a box of matches and cry to myself ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
with your balsa skills foam will be easy once you get the hang of the medium
