Binding Beginner, Spektrum DXe and DMSx

Hi there!
I'm Joé,
My girlfriend's father just gave me his old drone, so I can start modeling.
But I'm a bit lost.

The flight controller is an old Lumenier Lux V2, and I have a Spektrum DXe controller. The receiver is a DSMx.

Despite hours of searching on the internet, I can't get my DXe to bind to the DSMx.

I see that some people use cables to make the bind, but is it mandatory?

When I turn on the drone and keep pressing the binding button on my DXe and turn it on, it doesn't find it and makes an error noise.

Can you help me please? or tell me where to look.

A: I would not even bind a DXE for a drone. Get something like a Dx6 with a screen. Second: that receiver may be outdated

How are you putting the receiver into bind mode? That is a satellite receiver if I am viewing the picture right you will need another DSMX receiver to plug the satellite into and bind thru that receiver, then reinstall in the quad. Search binding DSMX satellite receiver.
