I have managed to break the antenna wire where it enters the revolving antenna piece. Does anyone know if I can buy a new antenna and wire to attach to the tx, or must I buy a new module? If I replace the module, will I lose the er9x firmware that is installed now?

Argh!

I don't think the firmware will be effected by changing the module. From what I can see the FRSKY module is very popular, I think there might be a different firmware that will allow you to get Telemetry on the screen (correct me if I'm wrong). Have a look at the 9xforums Wiki You might find what your looking for.

From what I've been reading, I think I am going to go with the Frsky module.
I'm a bit embarrased to ask Parke, as I've only had the TX back from him for about a week!:black_eyed: LOL!

If you've got a lot of receivers, and only want to change the module, Leader have a cheap replacement: http://www.leaderhobby.com/product.asp?ID=9394001220452, though it's on preorder... I don't know what that means in terms of when you'll get it though. Another option is Ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FS-TM002-FlySky-2-4Ghz-Transmitter-TX-module-GT3-TH9x-/380415063596?pt=AU_Toys_Hobbies_Radio_Controlled_Vehicles&hash=item589281362c#ht_3006wt_1139.

If Parke's doing/done a few upgrades to FrSky, he might have some original 9x modules lying around. He seems to like making FT patrons happy too...

Im using FRSKY so all my TGY gear is removed.

My stock antenna on the transmitter module is unsoldered from the PCB.
Do you want me to ship it to you for free?
