BM, this may be a silly question, seeing that I buy stuff from HK and BH, but how is the quality of their arfs? How can I pass up that Stearman for $98? And they have one of my all time fav's - the Globe-Temco Swift. That is not a model you come across often.
The old guys at my club love Maxford. Just looking at the instruction manual for the 70" N28 I ordered has sold me on them. Did you check out the Stearman flight vid? They're flying at the same "DO NOT FLY OVER RIFLE RANGE" site as NitroPlanes/Banana Hobby.

Yes, I did, but did not notice the rifle range. I've already priced an affordable power system from HeadsUpRC. Hope to place the order tomorrow.

It says the Swift is B-stock and it shows a small blemish on the canopy.

I noticed that ReadymadeRC have further reduced the Pioneer glider - PNF for $50 and ARF for $25. Shipping costs to Australia are $143, so a little cost prohibitive there, but for those in the US this is amazing. http://www.readymaderc.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1

Reduced from $509 to $349. The ARF is even cheaper than the kit.
That's the prettiest F-18 I've ever seen. Retracts, opening canopy, leading edge slats and flaps, 360 vectored thrust, lights, folding wings, etc.
I read thru the thread on RCG, and interest sort of petered out, so I guess it had its problems.
Almost worth building one as a semi-static display. Watch the video: it's gorgeous.
I've got a SIL who's a F-18 mechanic at NAS Oceana, and that would be the hit of the Squadron.

I've been using a home-made antenna cp antenna for FPV, which is OK, however ImmersionRC Spironet antennas are real cheap on HK at the mo. The listing says it's $34.89, but add it to your cart and it's only $31.24!!!

Ahh... like watching share prices during a profit forecast downgrade.
I still think these mouldies hitting the shelves are a bargain. For example a minivec sells second hand for $280 (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1613167) and then shows new on HK for less again (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...osite_Aerobatic_Slope_Soarer_1690mm_ARF_.html).
Too many bargains, not enough money. Think I'll save more by not buying one.
