foam board strengthening & frankenstein v2

Was in the hobby shop this week and one of the guys showed me this flat carbon spar, super thin probably 1 mil i guess but it you cut a slit in the foam and then glue it in makes the foam incredibly strong. Sure a lot of you guys know it already but was great and relatively cheap way to strengthen the foam especially on bigger models i would imagine. tried it on a new tail section for version 2 of my frankenstein plane and worked great.

Just what i was looking for to do to mine, was about to replace the tail feathers on my model as they got creased at the weekend, this will make the repair much stronger and neater.
