Oh, and anyone interested in how efficient the plane is, on the radial C pack motor and 35a esc, I get 10 minutes at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle on a 2200mah 4s battery. That leaves my battery at 3.7-3.8 a cell, so I could probably get 12 or more minutes if I wanted to, but 10 min seems to be a good length of time for a flight :)
Or you could have multiple batteries... just sayin. Helps get landing practice in as well lol

Finally got around to taking a stab at painting the Mustang. The exhaust stacks have since been painted black.

There are so many ways to paint up a plane, I myself don't use the brushes much, more akin to the spray can. Recently found the value in using sharpie for details on the plane. Anything that works for you will look awesome, and helps with orientation if that issue ever arises.

I just finished build the mustang.. It's looks like it's nose heavy vvy with 4s 2200.. 😬 What CG location did you used?

I had the same issue when I switched to 4s. I had to move the battery back quite a bit and then used a small wedge out of pink insulation board to keep the battery in place. So far so good, it hasn’t shifted on me at all

It's fly very good, I really like this module. I have some issue with the servo ( getting stuck) cause me to crash.. But I didn't have to much damage due to the bbq screw on the front of the wings I replaced the servo hope that next time it's will fine.

Gorgeous looking build 👍 you’ll love flying her
What size battery you using

Thanks, I've 2 3s 2200mah and I ordered 2 4s 3200mah.

I've seen the CG specs (76mm). But I found it very "forward".
See the small holes in the pictures

Yeah that’s about right for the cg, I found the 3s didn’t quite balance it out best
You will have better result with 4s 2200’s the 3200’s might be a bit big
I’m sure others will have opinion

So, I tested her...

She flew perfectly until the motor got ripped off inflight :eek::eek:
Hopefully, I could bring her back without more damages, and in the end It will be an easy fix.

I made two mistakes, didn't screw the motor properly on the firewall, and I put a 90x60 prop on a 1250kv with a 4S 3200mah 75C :p.
So the motor sucked about 700W for a thrust close to 2kg and voila!

Flight is the necessary step between two fixes.

yeah yeah... it was in fact properly fixed, but because I put a 90x60 prop, the motor heated (it drew close to 700W)
and the heated screws melt the PLA firewall screws holes -> pooof

anyway, I've removed the damaged parts (only nose outer layer), and I'll use nuts to fix the screw behind the firewall
Just awaiting for the new motor (900KV) delivery

Think you were just unlucky
I had my prop break in two mid flight 😂 then the imbalance of that ripped my motor mount off also
Just managed to bring her back “dead stick”
