Maiden vid is up, canards definitely improved elevator authority, not as much as I had hoped though...Definitely not a speed machine but the low speed handling is excellent!
My Vector kit is finally in. You'll see some rapid progress on this one. I have the choice between 1806 and 2205. Do I want lighter, or more power? I know this is a pretty flexible plane.

I'm starting to build soon. I'm not sure which prop I'd prefer, but for the 2205 my reasonable options are 5x5.5x3(these are insane in both speed and excess thrust/slow speed for some planes), 6x4x2 Lumenier "slow fly" props(have them on my Charlie and DR1, these are great, and not only at low speeds), 6x4x3(DR1 loves these, little less efficient than the Lumeniers, but more excess thrust), or 5x4x4(more modest top end speed, but lots of excess thrust and low torque)
If I had more LG I'd try it. I should order some more. I know the 6x4x2 will be plenty powerful, the brand has not let me down, and that size works on everything from the Charlie to the four wing plane.
I stumbled upon this thread and decided to just share my version of Vector, based on Su-47. I made few copies of mini Raptor before and I think that Vector is better - it's frame is more "boxy" which makes it more rigid and durable, and the elevons are shaped better - raptor's elevons used to bend in sharp turns, which was caused by their size and short edge of connection to wing.
