mainly to point out how silly the Month name Feb-ru-ary commonly pronounced* Feb-u-ary is.
*(like how my oldest brother pronounces Li-bary, you know the place you return borrowed books.)

Hey, Gryff and Jim. Here's a couple of planes you scratch builders might find interesting. Both are like 1946 era.
First, Howard Hughes' XF-11.

That was the one originally with contra-rotating props that Hughes nearly killed himself in.
The second is the F-15, which USAAF actually bought and flew.

Both were recon birds.

I guess as long as people are not trying to Ax (ask) things here its all good. One of the hardest words to learn to pronounce properly as a child it seems. I can not tell you how many people here say that.

Your design is amazing. Quite easy to build but very scale. 4-5 hours building all together.
I enlarge the plan 115% to fit my 1300 mah batteries. Wing span 910mm, flight weight 970g, wing load 63g/dcm2.
2 x 2208 1800kv engines, 2 x 30A ESC, 2 x 7040 props give me unlimited vertical manoeuvre and 8 mins flight.
Extended the engine pods 10mm to make the CG adjustable.
Cut the 1.5L lipton lemon tea bottle bottom to get engine pod front cover.

It flies very stable, not floaty but predictable. Fantastic vertical ability. When it's 90 degree straight into the sky, it 's really like a 'Sky Rocket'.

Got all the parts cut out, now time to start on the build!
