Done scoring and cutting both models. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to start building.

Update time. I am super late on schedule!
Set the Mighty Mini Corsair aside and started building the Might Mini Tiny Trainer Glider. I haven't documentment much about the building process but that's just because I didn't really do anything special on this build. In fact I actually screwed it up a few times. Like forgetting to put the pushrods through the fuselage before closing it all up, and even using the squares to keep the pushrods from bending. All in all though I am happ with the results.

Still need to add the servos but for the most of it is done.

Over the last week I have been pushing a bit of work here and there on the Mighty Mini Corsair. Well today I finally finished it!

This is a model I haven’t built before so I really just followed the build video. I personally had a hard time with the rudder and elevator which broke while I was trying to install them. I ended up cutting new ones which I also broke but wasn’t going to cut yet another one so I found a way to patch it up. I seemed to have similar issues with the Mighty Mini Mustang which I never rebuilt again although it was a super fun faster flyer. Maybe I should build a new one?!?

All in all the build was easy, and came out looking better than I have expected considering the size difficulty. I also had a hard time passing through the servo wires on the wing and ended up cutting slots on the bottom to help me pass them through.

Started scoring a few parts but to many hope to be able to score the rest tomorrow, maybe even get some cutting done…

I also need to make a decision whether to throw away all the spray paints that I have and get new ones cause I don’t like them or just use them all up and then just get whatever spray paints that I like. What’s your thoughts?

You could just get creative. My last creation turned out a hideous yellow! But the red stripe I did on a whim is like the most awesome thing.
I'm not building showpieces so I'm just not too upset about it.

I did the red stripe like that because I had only a tiny bit of orange and red.

I totally messed it up this time, I’ve done much better with the challenge last time. I did build three out of the five models I declared I would. The FT mini mighty tiny trainer, FT mini mighty SE5 and the FT mini mighty corsair. The mini mighty corsair flies amazing if you know how to fly a quick and twitchy model. You can’t fly it in a small field and tight area but have to know how to keep it in control. if you know how to control such a model and you’re looking for an impressive small model that is fast as well this is definitely a model for you.

The SE5 is a model that I built using scrap electronics in plan to give it away as a gift after a test flight. When I took get out to the field for a test flight it didn’t fly though. The plans recommend flying it with an F pack motor but I used an A pack motor which wasn’t any good to start with. The test flight was obviously unsuccessful and the model is waiting for a motor swap out, I just need to figure out what motor I’m willing to give away. I will still give it a test flight before I give it away though just to make sure that the person that would receive it could actually fly it. The build process for this model was fairly simple even though I don’t like the whole wing layering part of the build. I also less like the fact that I can’t access my servos if one needs to be replaced.

The mighty mini tiny trainer is a model that I’ve built many times in the past and I love it. I think it’s a great trainer plane for newcomers into the hobby. It has many different setups, it’s easy to build and fun to fly no matter what your flying skills are. This time though I built the model for a different purpose. It didn’t have a motor and it didn’t have the sports wing. It was built to be piggy backed into the air by a huge tiny Trainer and then released, just to be flown solo down by a friend holding a different transmitter. I actually tried this in the past with a motor tiny trainer but because I didn’t do a crap check I crashed the plane on takeoff and wasn’t able to continue because I broke the piggyback mechanism. Having no one to fly with and no one to film this I held off on that project until a few days ago. The piggyback mechanism worked fantastic everything was just as planned except for my friends piloting skills which weren’t all that great. He crashed the plane twice but it is still in great condition and can go for another few rounds with other friends. Videos soon to come.

I will still follow through with the challenge so next on the table is the super bee built out of 3mm FB. Sorry FT that’s all I had left in stock so that’s what I’ll build out of :). Most has already been cut out except for a few pieces with I need to recut because of screw ups in planning :(.
