It started to get gusty so I came in to land and I hit a little hard, with no damage. It lifted off maybe 5" then came down hard on the cowl putting about 4 cracks in it.Going to share what lead to the accident?

So, fun fact....
Chicago’s O’Hare airport was named after a wwii pilot (I must have been through here a hundred times and didn’t know the history!)
But wait there’s more, he was a wildcat pilot!!!
And....
The markings look pretty suspicious to me (just change the cowl number!)
