I build my gremlin a while back and then after I had a hard crash the camera stopped working all together. I've replaced it with a new one but now when I hook the camera up it takes off and flies a few feet and then crashes. It sounds like things might be rebooting. Is the flight controller toast? If I disconnect the camera it flies fine. At this point I'm strapping on a 1s for the camera but would like to loose the extra weight. Looking for suggestions.

I would go back over all of your wiring and make sure nothing is shorting out or maybe broken and about to come free altogether. After that I would check your VTX specially if the camera is powered directly off of that. You could have done damage to that 5v supply in the VTX when you killed the other camera.
